The game is now really playable, one bug persist but its playable
4 level are added ( add more is really simple and quick, i will do it more later, after fix the bug ) the score and combo are added

If you loose, you return to the level 1, if you finish the 4 level, you return to the first but without loose you score.
I will add a system for upload your score, and check the score of other player.

This is a gambling game similiar to the famous slot (or fruit) machine. But a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of the same symbol or color or distinct symbols and colors counts as a pay line. Press button A to play and button Y to restart and button B for help.

A few weeks ago, I started experimenting with 3d and now, here is my first 3d game! In this game, you have to tilt the world with your Stylus, to make the marble roll from A to B. I made this way harder, because I have added some special fields:
Grey: The marble rolls slower.
Yellow: The marble bounces away.
Jump-pad: You get a little boost that makes you jump.
You have to look out, that the marble don’t falls down from the world, or that your time runs out. At the moment,the game has 10 levels. I also entered the Drunkencoders’ First Annual Christmas Coding Competition, so wish me luck!

. You have to click on the balloons before they’re far away, kind of like a Duck Hunt, but on 2 screens. They come faster and faster, and the sooner you explode a balloon, the more points you gain... and you can chain balloons for even more points !
Important note : you’ll have to take your DS upside down to play this game !

This was my first homebrew for the Nintendo DS. It’s a port of BOFH Legends, a small game in Adobe Flash, you only have to smash enemies on the touch-screen. I respect original graphics and music, as well as the gameplay.

Hi, this is my first (serious?) game for the Nintendo DS. This is clone of the famous breakout/arkanoid/bricks game, and it is themed with mario bros series things, like powerups, music, font, and backgrounds. I developed it only using emulator, so I don’t know how it works on real DS!

Hi all!
This is my first DS game. IT is called “Can’t Stop DS”.
It is the version 0.2, which includes title and menu, music, and a nice scrolling background :) It is fully playable on DS and emulators (but without alpha-blending, music and fade effects).
The game is very simple: you roll 4 dice and choose 2 pairs like you want. “Bonz” tokens wil be placed or lift up at the same numbers on the mountain. At the end of your turn, you may choose to roll dice again. If you don’t, your positions are saved by your color tokens, and the next turn you will start at these positions instead of the bottom of the mountain. If you choose “Roll again” and cannot move your bonz tokens, you lost your progresion this turn.
These version do not include AI. You can play with a friend or alone by controlling the two players. The sources will be released at the final version Thanks to Mollusk for helping me on alpha-blending

Chrono Poker DS is my first “useful” homebrew !.
It’s a “in real life” poker players helper :
After editing a “blinds” structure for your game, launch the countdown. It will ring 30 seconds before the blinds increase, and once again when the timer reaches its end !

It is a basic yet operational implementation of SameGame, a simple puzzle game that came built it in my old phone and was very useful in waiting/queueing situations. The main goal here was to get used to the new programing enviroment (devkitPro / C / PAlib) and I have to say that I succeeded since I only took two day to program it.
Regarding the game, you can find an extensive game description of SameGame at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SameGame.
In short:
You have a rectangular playing screen initially filled with colored blocks. By choosing adjoined blocks of the same color you can remove them from the screen and the usual gravity action takes place. You can play with two main objectives in mind:
- To connect the blocks of a kind as many as possible (to make a big score).
- To remove all the blocks in the screen (usually resulting in considerable bonus).

Okay, here is an early alpha version of a flash cards app I am working on. In the long run my plan is to allow anyone to add a text file with questions and answers that will get compiled into the final rom.
All that works at this moment is reading in the text file, then prompting you with a random question, showing you four possible answers, highlighting the correct one, and then moving on to a new question.
So, if anyone needs to learn the Periodic Table of Elements by name/symbol, this may help you.

This is a puzzle game. There are a grid of 3 columns and 3 rows and 9 images with 3 shapes and 3 colors. On the right are the next 3 images (from top to bottom). You place the top one into a blank cell by touching the latter. Then a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line with certain patterns will disappear and you score. The goal is to score as high as possible.

Game:
2 opposing Hoovers racing to be the first to collect 50 items of rubbish. Hoover will bounce off each other and walls.
Controls:
Hoovers spin continuously until the players move button is pressed. Once pressed the Hoover will shoot off in the direction it is facing.
For player 1 (green Hoover) the move button is left on the d-pad. For player 2 (red Hoover) the move button is A.

Just a simple ipod-like menu for the touch screen of our Nintendo DS. It works pretty close to the real one! And it’s so customizable (no graphics needed, all it’s done by code)
How it works? : It’s VERY VERY simple, using the menu will modify a variable called “ipod_state”, that variable has values as “IPOD_LEFT” (moving to the left), “IPOD_RIGHT” (the other side), “IPOD_PLAY” (when the play butto is pressed), ... etc (IPOD_BUTTON is the central button, IPOD_OFF is holding for seconds the play button, and IPOD_LIGHT for the menu one)
You only has to write a program to get the value of ipod_state (with a “switch(ipod_state)” for example)
Controls :
Customize it! Since it not use any images you could put the image you want. You could also determine how big is and where to put it!

Lotti has just released his final version of JoggleDS. It’s his first piece of homebrew and it works great. It takes advantage of both the touch screen and the dual screens.
The top screen is used to keep track of the list of words you have tried and the bottom screen is used for word input.
This is a game I can imagine playing a lot on my DS. It doesn’t take long to finish a round and so it’s great to play on the go. Also since the letter grid is randomly generated you can play for a while without getting bored. My major complaint with the other versions where that it didn’t check for wrong words until the end and that you couldn’t see your score until the end. This is now fixed in this version and I think this is a game that will stay on my CF card for quite a while.

xtoc has released his first DS game entitled Mario Touch.
Your mission is to keep mario alive. This is made difficult by the fact that Pokey’s are heading your way in increasingly larger amounts. In order to save mario you must tap the enemies to defeat them. Every enemy defeated gives you a point and after every 100 points the game changes just a bit.
The game starts off very easily but I was pleasently suprised by the changes that come every 100 points, they change the game enough to keep things interesting.
The meaning of this game : get the highest score
Gameplay : touch as many Pokey’s as you can (gameplay will change a little bit after each 100 points you get)
controlls : for playing : use touchscreen / for pauze : use A to pauze , use the start button to resume / for restarting the game when dead : use the A button
Sometimes(not always) the sound and music dissepear from the game , don’t know why.... This is just a test game for me , to see how the code works, i’m going to work now on a bigger project

“METRO-PARIS” is my first (little) application for DS, developped with this great tool: PA_lib !

This is a puzzle game which challenges your memory. Two grids are composed of m shapes (rows) and n colors (columns). The bottom one is for play and the top one is for hint. You must touch the cells of the bottom grid and turn them face up one by one. The next cell touched must match shape or color with the previous cell touched. If so, you can touch another cell. If not, the unmatched cells will be turnt face down and you touch over again.

Rally X (for those who don’t know) is a classic arcade game from 1980. It’s one of those game I keep coming back to in my mame collection and thought would be perfect for the DS.
This is my first project and is nowhere near completion though I thought I’d post what I’ve done so far and see what kind of feedback I get. Graphics are simple but faithful to the original - just how I like it
Currently, you can drive around the map (same map as the arcade version) and that’s about it. Like in the arcade game, if the car hits a wall, it will move and turn by itself when you’re not controlling it with the pad.
I’m using the DS’s hardware rotation to show the car turning. This doesn’t seem to be visible on DeSmuME but works fine in Dualis and on the DS hardware itself
Things missing are a map and scoreboard / fuel status - these are all destined for the second screen.
It’s also missing enemy cars, flags, rocks, splash screen, sound, etc. I’ll be adding these things when I can and hope for completion soon
The car should also be aligned to an invisible grid to keep it in line with the map (in the arcade you could only turn every 16 pixels). At the moment it’s free flowing - I hope to fix this soon.
Also, collision detection is functional but a bit jerky when you try to turn a corner just before you hit it - this is probably the next thing I’ll be fixing.
By the way, if you can get the car to stop (jammed in a corner, please let me know how - it shouldn’t be able to stop moving at all!
the .nds works fine on my GBAMP though I haven’t been able to check the other builds (.sc and .gba)

«ReveilHumain» is an alarm clock which plays mp3 files. You have to set the hour of awakening and click on « Alarm » button. Press Start to turn off the screens . Press Select to turn on them. You must put a mp3 file named «wake.mp3» on the root directory of your card.

I adapted a puzzle game called Rush Hour using PAlib. I wrote the code and my girlfriend drew the graphics. It runs on hardware and dualis (without sound, fade or save on the emulator though) and I tested it through the 160 levels.

The history of the game is that Santa whants to give the toys to everybody, but he have very bad luck and he lost the toys in the every stage of the game. That’s my first project on a DS, it is in a very early alpha stage, but it’s already playable. I plain to port the game completely, and add some extra content. By this time, there’s a single infinite level.
The project features ADPCM music and sound, and graphics ripped from original arcade and supernintendo version. At this stage of the project I would like to get feedback from playing issues, glitches, errors. Any comments wellcome
Known issues are:
- The collision is not as precise as it should (it uses rectangles...)
- The player is not invincible just after died, so it could enter in a die-loop if plenty of balloons (press B in that case)
- Maybe the balls are a bit on the speedy side ;)

RPGMaker(2000)-like, can let you create all the universe of an RPG, really easily and without any programmation, on DS.
The beta-version of VGMDS 0.90 rev1 is out! Actually, you can read/save maps, create entire maps of 512*384 elements, add music (RAW format, convert in this format using WavePad), protect your project by a 16 bits password, and more...
Advantages? You don’t need a PC to edit the game and play just after! Also the walk program was improved (help-driving, you are not blocked by a pixel of an element). And actually you can configure yourself object priority!!
But this version only shows a small window opened of the world of free-esay-game-making!

Way of the Rain started as a little physics demo, where waterdrops search their way trough a level. Now its a game, where you have to draw barriers, to show the waterdrops the right way. The Stylus is used to draw and the level results will be saved :) As you may recognise, the game has just 4 levels. The reason is, that I want you, to draw levels for the game. If they are good, I will include them in the game. Draw you own levels !
